Greetings! I'm Guodong Xu (徐国栋), also known online as docular / docularxu. I am a Linux kernel and platform software specialist, open-source enthusiast, with 20+ years of experience spanning embedded systems, BSP/device bring‑up, server software, performance/power optimization, and upstreaming to mainline communities.
I combine deep technical expertise with business execution: leading cross‑border teams, aligning with customer needs, and delivering open‑source based solutions. I've been invited to speak at openEuler, RISC‑V ecosystem conferences, and other industry forums.

Linux Kernel Upstreaming
With over 20 years of experience in Linux kernel development, I have consistently contributed to mainline upstream work throughout my career. During my tenure at Linaro, I led upstream efforts for various client platforms. Now at RISCstar, Linux kernel upstream contributions remain a core part of my work and my ongoing commitment to the open source community.

- PDMA: Working DMA driver for SpacemiT K1 (22 Aug 2025, merged into v6.18)

Computing Acceleration Contributions
I have extensive experience accelerating computing libraries using vector instructions (including Arm SVE/SME and RISC-V Vector Extension). The contributions listed here represent only my open source work; significant additional contributions to commercial software libraries are not shown.
BLIS (BLAS-like Library Instantiation Software)
Added two kernels (dgemm and dpackm) that employ ARM SVE vector extensions, released in BLIS 0.8.0 on November 19, 2020.
ISA-L (Intel Intelligent Storage Acceleration Library)
Enabled SVE (Scalable Vector Extension) support in ISA-L erasure code for aarch64 architecture.

RISCstar provides low‑level software solutions for Arm and RISC‑V. I drive China operations across BD/Sales and technical delivery: brand building, opportunity discovery, contract management, technical scoping/effort estimates, coordinating global teams, and directly contributing to Linux kernel upstream work for domestic RISC‑V chips. Secured multiple contracts, including the company’s first global deal; delivered talks at openEuler, RISC-V Summit and RVEI events.
